Beef & Stout Stew

This adaptation of Beef & Stout Stew comes from Jane Price’s Beef & Stout Casserole in Comfort Cooking. This cookbook is a must have for those who love the comforts of fall and winter recipes.

The original recipe has been modified to add more flavor. I felt like something in the original recipe was missing. The answer was Worcestershire Sauce. I prefer my steak slathered in it, so it made sense to add it to this recipe. It definitely added a flavor boost.

But what is a good stew without Tabasco sauce to top it off? Highly recommend, but don’t add it to the recipe. Add it to your own bowl. Crusty bread is a must to dip into that sauce.

You can add this stew on top of mashed potatoes or egg noodles for a full meal.
