Perfectionist Wannabe (“PW”) welcomes editorial submissions, placement requests, partnership proposals, and other professional inquiries from publishers, brands, cultural organizations, and creative partners whose work aligns with the world of PW.

We are interested in thoughtful opportunities across books and publishing, fashion and beauty, art and design, culture, travel and hospitality, food and lifestyle, home, photography, and pet-related products and experiences, as well as projects that cross traditional editorial categories.

PW is an independent editorial publication of Michelle Kenneth Media.

INDEPENDENT EDITORIAL CONSIDERATION

Publishers, brands, publicists, artists, cultural organizations, destinations, and other professional representatives may submit appropriate books, products, experiences, events, and story ideas for independent editorial consideration.

Independent editorial consideration is complimentary and entirely selective. Submission does not guarantee placement, coverage, or inclusion in PW.

PW independently determines what is selected for editorial inclusion, when it appears, and the form that coverage may take.

Products, books, invitations, travel, accommodations, meals, experiences, or other materials provided for consideration do not guarantee coverage or favorable coverage.

Previous coverage or an existing relationship with PW does not guarantee future placement.

BOOKS & PUBLISHING

Publishers, imprints, and publicists may submit forthcoming and backlist titles for independent editorial consideration.

PW’s book coverage may include individual features, interviews, reading lists, seasonal and thematic editorial, photography, cultural coverage, and inclusion within larger editorial projects.

When submitting a title, please include:

  • Title, author, and publisher/imprint
  • Publication date
  • A brief description of the book
  • Requested timing, if applicable
  • Relevant press materials and imagery
  • Contact information
  • Any proposed opportunity or placement request

Advance materials, finished copies, and digital review copies may be submitted when appropriate. PW also accepts digital review copies through NetGalley and Edelweiss from publishers and publicists with whom we have established connections on those platforms.

If a title has been made available to PW through NetGalley or Edelweiss, publishers and publicists are welcome to note that availability when submitting the title for editorial consideration at editorial@perfectionistwannabe.com.

Receipt or availability of a title through NetGalley, Edelweiss, or another review platform does not guarantee coverage.

FASHION & BEAUTY

PW welcomes inquiries from fashion and luxury houses, independent designers, beauty brands, retailers, and their representatives.

Opportunities may include fashion features, product placement within original editorial photography, Editor’s Collections, seasonal stories, travel wardrobes, beauty coverage, and other original editorial concepts.

Please include information about the collection or product, availability, relevant dates or embargoes, press imagery, and any loan or sample arrangements, where applicable.

Artists, galleries, museums, cultural institutions, designers, filmmakers, and creative organizations are welcome to submit exhibitions, openings, collections, screenings, events, and other projects for consideration.

PW is particularly interested in stories that connect art, design, literature, film, fashion, history, place, and contemporary culture.

PW welcomes editorial and partnership inquiries from destinations, tourism organizations, hotels, restaurants, cultural institutions, and other hospitality and travel partners.

Potential coverage may include destination features, hotel and property coverage, cultural itineraries, original photography, food and dining, travel wardrobes, and stories examining the relationship between place, culture, and the way we live.

TRAVELING WITH MATTHEW

Matthew, PW’s Maine Coon, travels with Michelle on select domestic and international assignments and is part of PW’s ongoing pet-friendly travel coverage.

For assignments on which Matthew will travel, accommodations and arranged transportation must permit cats and accommodate his stay. Any required pet fees, pet-related transportation charges, or other costs directly associated with the hosted assignment should be disclosed in advance and included among reimbursable travel expenses unless otherwise agreed.

Matthew’s participation may also create opportunities for pet-friendly travel editorial, photography, and relevant product coverage.

FOOD & LIFESTYLE

PW welcomes inquiries from restaurants, chefs, food and beverage brands, cookware and tabletop companies, home and design brands, and other lifestyle partners.

Potential coverage may include original recipes, dining and travel features, product inclusion, photography, Editor’s Collections, and other relevant editorial projects.

PW welcomes appropriate inquiries from pet, travel, hospitality, home, publishing, and lifestyle brands interested in products, services, books, and experiences suitable for Matthew-related coverage.

For partners seeking guaranteed placement or specific campaign deliverables, PW offers select sponsored editorial and partnership opportunities.

Sponsored projects may include dedicated editorial features, original photography, product integration, destination and hospitality partnerships, affiliate collaborations, and custom creative projects.

Unlike independent editorial consideration, sponsored partnerships provide the placement and deliverables agreed upon in the applicable proposal or agreement.

Commercial partnerships do not purchase favorable editorial opinion. PW reserves the right to decline sponsored opportunities that do not align with the publication’s editorial direction, audience, or standards.

EDITORIAL DISTRIBUTION

Select PW editorial partnerships include promotion and distribution across PW’s digital and social channels.

Depending upon the project, this may include publication of editorial imagery, excerpts, links, photography, or other supporting content across multiple platforms.

The specific channels, format, and frequency of distribution are determined by PW according to the nature of the editorial, audience, and campaign objectives unless specific deliverables are otherwise agreed upon.

Additional or guaranteed campaign deliverables, paid media usage, platform-specific content, or extended promotional campaigns may be quoted separately.

Designed as a collectible extension of the editorial world being built across Michelle Kenneth Media, MKM will focus on stories, people, places, and objects worth returning to—and preserving.

MKM is currently in development and is not accepting editorial submissions, advertising inquiries, placement requests, or partnership proposals at this time.

EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE

PW welcomes pitches, products, invitations, experiences, and commercial opportunities while maintaining independent editorial standards.

Editorial consideration does not guarantee inclusion.

Sponsored partnerships guarantee only those placements and deliverables specifically agreed upon between PW and the partner.
